Pressure reducing valve (PRV) is a plumbing device that reduces the water pressure in a home or building's plumbing system to a safe and manageable level. It is typically installed at the main water line or where the municipal water supply enters the building.
The PRV works by regulating the water pressure that flows through the valve. It contains a spring-loaded diaphragm that adjusts the valve opening based on the incoming water pressure. When the water pressure melebihi a certain level, the valve closes separaly or completely, reducing the downstream pressure to a safe and appropriate level.
